Introduction

Soprano Emily Stauch has been described as having a voice which is versatile鈥攚ith 鈥渉uge energy and smooth high notes鈥濃€攁nd expressive, 鈥渞eflecting light in the music of Mozart,鈥� and 鈥渁ccomplishing coloration with such aplomb that it appeared to be effortless.鈥�

A voice and language/diction instructor for many years, Stauch speaks French, German, Italian and Swedish, and served previously on the voice faculty at Virginia Wesleyan College. She is currently on the faculty of the InterHarmony International Music Festival, held in Acqui Terme, Italy. She has directed opera and musical theater workshops and has taught master classes and workshops for various schools and choral organizations. Stauch has taught workshops in managing performance stress and anxiety for 20 years and worked with this topic when it was in its infancy. As a singing voice specialist, she has worked with patients recovering from vocal fold injuries, surgery and problems related to vocal misuse, in conjunction with laryngologists and speech pathologists.
