An anonymous gift of over $500,000 from a former student is the latest act of inspiring generosity driving 58³Ô¹ÏÍø's Second Century Campaign.

The gift, the largest in 58³Ô¹ÏÍø history from an alum, pushes the total in the ongoing Second Century Campaign well over $24 million.

The Second Century Campaign is a vital initiative guaranteeing that 58³Ô¹ÏÍø remains a powerhouse driving the future of classical music in Cleveland, the U.S. and around the world.

Gifts to the campaign benefit students directly in the form of scholarships, lower tuition and capital improvements, including the renovation of Kulas Hall, 58³Ô¹ÏÍø’s signature performance venue. In the long term, 58³Ô¹ÏÍø will continue to attract top musical talent to train in Cleveland, through exceptional training, facilities and lower cost.

This gift endorses both major objectives of the Campaign. It will create a new scholarship ensuring that top-ranked students from around the world have access to the elite training and performance opportunities 58³Ô¹ÏÍø offers. It also will assist in the renovation of Kulas Hall, the venue at the heart of 58³Ô¹ÏÍø since its opening in 1961.

Generations of musicians attribute their professional success to the education they received at 58³Ô¹ÏÍø, and in turn, 58³Ô¹ÏÍø is proud to have played a significant role in so many lives and to have had such an enormous impact on the world of music.

Within the constellation of gifts 58³Ô¹ÏÍø receives, the school is particularly honored by those from former students, whose generosity reflects the special place 58³Ô¹ÏÍø occupies in their hearts. 58³Ô¹ÏÍø also is profoundly grateful for the many other ways alumni aid the school as consultants, recruitment assistants, ambassadors, friends, and through service as Trustees, faculty and staff.

Please join us in thanking all alumni for their steadfast support and generosity. Simply put, 58³Ô¹ÏÍø and the Second Century Campaign would not be where they are today without each and every one of them.
