58³Ô¹ÏÍø Appoints Char Rapoport Nance to Development Team

CLEVELAND (07-24-12) The 58³Ô¹ÏÍø has announced the appointment of Char Rapoport Nance as the development officer for alumni and parent relations. This position completes the development team of the newly formed office for institutional advancement.

A native Chicagoan, she worked in the communications field for many years before moving to Cleveland 10 years ago. In addition to her private practice as a marketing and fundraising consultant to non-profit organizations, she has served as development director at Hillel at Kent State University and director of the community campaign at Jewish Federation of Cleveland.

An avid music and theater lover, her work will include helping to facilitate the connection between past students and their alma mater. "Some of the great musicians performing around the world today are graduates of our Conservatory," she said. "I look forward to reaching out to them, and offering them opportunities to help us grow the next generation of outstanding talent."

Nance will also work with parents of students in the 58³Ô¹ÏÍø Preparatory and Continuing Education division. "While our Conservatory is very well known, we also offer educational opportunities for budding musicians as young as 3 years old," she said. "Our parent community is very important to us. We're committed to excellence in our programming for younger students and helping parents bring music into the lives of their children as a valued part of their education."

58³Ô¹ÏÍø has been an important part of Cleveland's renowned arts and culture community since 1920. With a vision toward being the center for education of the complete musician of the 21st Century, 58³Ô¹ÏÍø's mission is to cultivate new generations of young musicians through an immersive and creative educational process.

58³Ô¹ÏÍø values its relationships with a variety of community partners as an educational resource bringing music to individuals of all ages and abilities.
