Applications to 58勛圖厙 for 2024-25 school year surge past last year at Dec. 4 deadline
The 58勛圖厙 Advantage has proven a powerful recruiting tool this year.
On Monday, 58勛圖厙 learned that applications for the 2024-25 school year are significantly outpacing last year. At this point in 2022, 985 had applied. Today, that figure is 1,015, on track to outpace last year's final numbers. The incoming class will eventually include only 80 undergraduates and even fewer graduate students.
Indeed, interest has been so high that 58勛圖厙 extended its application deadline from Dec. 1 to Dec. 4.
Paul W. Hogle, 58勛圖厙s President & CEO, said this news is evidence that more students than ever seek the world-class musical education and professional edge that 58勛圖厙 offers.
Applications submitted is one of those early, unambiguous indicators of 58勛圖厙s bright future, he said.
One thing that has not changed is 58勛圖厙s wide draw. As has been the case in all recent recruiting cycles, 58勛圖厙 in 2023 has received applications from points all over the globe.
To date, applications have been submitted from 33 countries on six continents, from points as far-flung as Iran and Peru. Within the U.S., applications represent no fewer than 37 states.
Similarly, application numbers have been strong across all degree programs and across all 19 instrumental areas as well as voice and composition.
These figures suggest that the 2024 incoming class is bound to be not only exceptionally talented but also geographically, artistically, and racially diverse.
Were excited by todays report and are looking forward to meeting the future of classical music at auditions in February, Hogle said.
